GAME DESCRIPTION

Top Gear 3000 is a retro game for the SNES that lets you race in space. The story says it's set five centuries before World War XVII, when Earth was destroyed by aliens and most of humanity moved to other planets under control of the Galactic Conglomerate. There are two main modes: Championship where players compete with AI opponents or split-screen against friends, or Practice mode for solo racing practice.

The game has 20 cars in each race pack, including eighteen named AI opponents who get faster over time and award bonuses after races. Players can choose from a variety of car parts like engine, gearbox, tyres, armor, boosters, etc., but the AI doesn't upgrade or purchase anything. The only way to win is by running out of gas on purpose in some tracks.

The game's space cars are futuristic with high speeds and can sustain speed even without fuel, so you don't need much time for practice runs before a race. There are five secret bonuses that aren't fully implemented yet but could be awarded if they're added later.
